“Vegas and The Flu?”
Have you been hit with the Flu this season?
It’s Friday.
I woke up with some wicked sinus dizziness today.
** Complete Body ache
** Rhino stepping on my chest feeling
** Droopy eyes.
** Can barely move.
Feels like flu
Been wiped out in bed
All day
When things go to hell like this.
And I start to throw a little pity party…
You know what I’m talkin’ about.
Remember you’re last bitch and moan session?
I look up on my wall.
To these two sentences.

In bright red ink.
1. "What’s great about this?"
1. "What could be great about this if I wanted it to be?"
Reframing it.
Tony Robbins-ing it.
Deep breath…
Every Problem is just a challenge.
A gift.
An opportunity to find a stronger you.

"But wait, there is an upside to the flu?"
Yep.
The upside to getting sick right now?
What’s great about it?
Getting the stupid thing Out Of The Way Now.
Because In 14 days I’ll be in Las Vegas with my lady
And Best Friends.

Whatever It Takes
Last night, I found this great poem kicking around in an old folder in my dresser.
I don’t know who the author is. (Each verse seems to be from different sources…)
I DO know that it now lives prominently on my wall because it is so powerful.
Whatever it takes
I’m committed to doing whatever it takes
The die has been cast.
I’ve stepped over the line.
I’m out of my comfort zone.
The decision has been made.
I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.
I’m finished and done with low living, sidewalking, small planning, smooth seas,
colorless dreams, changed vision, mundane talking, cheap living and dwarfed goals
I can not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the
enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity
I am truly committed to doing whatever it takes.
